I love New Years Day... It's such a release of the past and holds tremendous hope for the future. I love spending the first day of every new year with my kids as a family. We usually spend the day discussing what our goals are for the year, and the places we hope to visit.

Last year was a good year for me and my family. ...My health was great, my business did well, my kids are happy and healthy and the year was just filled with blessings. With that said there is always room for new hopes and dreams. I have spent the past few days really thinking about what areas I want to improve my business in, what I want to improve personally as a mother and wife, and what dreams and goals I have for my business.

I purchased a notebook and wrote out three major goals for my business. Under each goal I devised a list of tasks I need to complete to reach that particular goal. I will carry that notebook with me this year and work towards those three specific goals.

1) Customer sees that you have to "create an account"to complete the order and takes off! They wanted to move through the order process quick and this added step frustrates them.

2) Customer may begin the process of creating the account or sign in and gets frustrated with error messages and leaves!

3) A returning customer comes back and uses the password he or she created for the account and it now doesn't work. They get an error message and leave.

4) A returning customer can't remember their password and has to have a reminder sent via the company. While waiting for the reminder email they abandon the order.

One of the reasons customers shop online is for ease and of course saving time. Making a potential customer sign in and create an account is just one more step that might cause frustration and result in the customer abandoning their order. I am often asked what I see in those that people are successful with their internet businesses and those that fail. In the past 5 years I have been extremely successful, then dead broke, successful again, pregnant with breast cancer, wanting to give up, successful again and cancer free. If I would have given up I would be dead. If I would have gave up I would be homeless. I pushed through EACH and EVERY obstacle until I achieved what I needed to achieve. I blamed no one and when the obstacle seemed overwhelming I pushed harder. I wanted to live. I wanted a successful business that allowed me to travel and be with my children. I wanted to be able to support myself and my family.

I could have gave up. Breast cancer pushed me to the edge. But then I pushed back...

I am not where I am because of luck...I assure you of that. I am here because 5 years ago I decided that this where I wanted to be and until I got here I wasn't going to stop. You have to make the same decision about your future... Where do you want to be in 5 years? How are you going to get there? NOT GO DO IT! You only today..
